Hello from Deacon Class.
Miss Saxon is the class teacher. The Adults who Support Learning in Key Stage 1 are Mrs Fairhall, Mors O’Donaghue, Mr Simpson, Miss Varouta and Mrs Wallaker.
In Deacon class we strive to try our best, give new things a go and be kind.
Our topics this term are ‘All Aboard’ and ‘Toy Story’. We will be using this book to explore our senses, the UK and weather patterns. You can learn more about our topics each term by looking at the knowledge organisers which can also be found on the website.
Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday. It is really important for all children to have their PE kit in school on these days. Hair needs to be tied back and all jewellery needs to be removed before school, adults at school are not able to remove or apply jewellery. Trainers are essential for outdoor PE, rather than plimsolls please. We would expect independent changing of clothes for P.E. by the end of the Autumn term so please practise this at home as much as possible.
Our Library day is on a Wednesday.
Spellings and Maths Home Learning will be sent home on Wednesday and we ask for them to be handed back to school on Monday. Reading is very important so we encourage daily reading at home where possible.
