Emerald Class
Welcome to Emerald Class. Our class teacher is Miss Ball and our LSA is Mrs Pateman. Mrs Forkings or Mrs Broughton work with the class as an HLTA at different points throughout the week.
Our PE days are Tuesday and Friday. One of these will be inside and whilst the weather remains good, one will be outside. Please make sure PE kits are in school on these days and are named.
During Autumn 1, we will be studying ‘Where in the World: From Here to Rio de Janeiro’. Our studies will include the continents, hemispheres, time zones and map skills. We will look at the human and physical geography whilst comparing Chelmsford to Rio de Janeiro. We are looking forward to learning more about the geography and cultures of these two places.
In Autumn 2, we will be studying ‘Raiders and Traders’, where we will be comparing the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. We will be investigating the Viking and Anglo-Saxon invasions of Britain and why they chose to come here. We will also be looking at the lives of people who lived under Viking and Anglo-Saxon rule.
